UTI Diagnostic Innovation Workshop

This workshop will offer an opportunity for innovators to network, connect and receive guidance from leading experts in urinary tract infection diagnosis and diagnostics evidence generation.

Whether you are a start-up or a well-established company, the event will support your development in improving the diagnosis of urinary tract infections in acute care settings.

13.30 - Multi-disciplinary feedback clinics, alongside Tea/Coffee and Networking

Individual innovators will have the opportunity to meet with a group of experts which may include (depending on your needs) primary care/infectious disease clinicians, clinical laboratory scientists, patients, and methodologists specialised in qualitative, statistical or health economic analysis, who can provide feedback.

15.00 - Diagnostic development journey – Panel Discussion

Innovators will share their experiences of developing diagnostics, alongside a panel of experts, with discussion and Q&A.

Venue:

This event will be held at the Cohen Quad of Exeter College Oxford. Exeter College was founded in the 14^th century and is the fourth oldest college of the collegiate University. The Cohen Quad site was added to the College's facilities in 2017, providing a state-of-the-art auditorium, meeting rooms and student accommodation.

A buffet lunch will be served in the central atrium area of the Quad, offering an opportunity for attendees to network and experience one of the more modern suites of facilities provided by an Oxford college.

There is no parking available at the venue, however the Cohen Quad is a relatively short walk from the train station and also easily accessible from central Oxford public transport drop-off points from the five Park & Ride locations around the Oxford ring road.

Registration:

Registration will be free of charge, with costs covered by the NIHR HRC Network.

As places are limited, we are asking innovators to complete an Expression of Interest form (opens in new window) so that we can prioritise those most likely to benefit from the available expertise.

We will then confirm your place and send practical details for the day.

Who we are:

The NIHR HealthTech Research Centre Network is the umbrella coordinating centre for activities conducted collaboratively across the 14 NIHR HRCs and spearheaded by our Working Groups, inclusive of the Working Group on Infectious Diseases which is delighted to host this workshop.

The NIHR HRC Network brings together NHS clinicians caring for patients from community to specialist tertiary care settings, leading academic experts in healthcare technology evidence generation, inclusive of statistical, health economic, behavioural and regulatory science.
